Analysis

1. Why is it important that I (the audience) am able to relate aspects of this character to myself?

I can understand easily why characters in this story say and act such things. And then I can fun in the world.


2. What part of this character's personality could be found in anyone?

She is thought she has anything because of big star. However she hopes to live normally. So she said, "I'm just a girl."
And she can't say flat, and it occurs problems.


3. What do these events/objects symbolize?

In this story, symbolize is the scene of conference. William proposed boldly. It is roman tic and attractive point. William and Anna's love is difficult because they are difference. But William pass the problem and they get happy. The scene moves us.


4. Does this story make a statement about society or the human heart in general?

This story is a dream and a longing for us.

Just a Girl and a Boy

I went to William's book store to clean up the misunderstanding and apologize my attitude.
And I asked  him whether he could ever like me again or not.
He said with me, He was danger. And he continued to talk that his heart would never get better if It was broken again.
I understand. And I said "I'm famous but I'm also just a girl."

William's friend explained the mean of "I'm just a girl." After that, William noticed his mistook.
They searched me, and they knew I would be given a press conference at the Savoy Hotel.
They hurried up and arrived the hotel.
William pretend the reporter. And he asked me if young Englishman who was taken a photo with me in Notting Hill was more than friends or not.
I surprised!!! I answered I thought so,too but I didn't know how he thought about me.
William continued his question that what I say if the man get down and ask me to think again.
I answered "YES!"
William said thank you again and again.
After that everyone noticed the reporter was very William!!
Another man asked how long I will stay in London.
I said for a very long time.

I was married to William.
And I lived happy with William and my baby growing inside me.

New Hope

It had passed for 6month from I and William had parted.
Honey and Spike came to William's book store, and they said William should have ring me. But he didn't.
The evening, the friends met Tony's restaurant, and they held a party. Because Tony's house was closed.
Then, William knew I had stayed in London for the shooting movie.

The following day, William came to the location.
I was very surprised. And I said to him, "Today is last day to film. I can introduce you to Henry James."
After that, William sat next to Henry and he was watching my action.

I said a man I was talking is from the past as my line. But William accepted this was truth. He felt down, and he went back.

Behind the Blue Door

In the morning William came back from Max and Bella's kitchen, I visited William's house.
I was very sad because I was taken a picture it looks like a dirty sex film. I had not known anything. Then, the picture had spread in the world, and many reporters was chasing me.
So, I went to here.


William and Spike was surprised at me.
And I told about Jeff. I though the love already had finished.

The day, I had good time with William. We told about movie and practiced acting for new movie.
And then, we spend wonderful night.

But,but...
Next morning a lot of reporters gathered in front of Blue Door which is this house's door.

Oh my god!!
Spike had told about me on pub last night.

I got very angry.
I got out the door, and I was picked up by my manager.

Alone Again

After William knew that Anna had a boy friend, He needed to speak someone.
He spoke to Spike.
At the night, William went to Tony's restaurant.　Tony is an old friend for William.
In the restaurant, William found the news paper about Me and Jeff. William asked Tony, Max and
other people, "Did you know?"
Of course, all knew because I was a big star.

When William went to the dinner at Max's home, Max and Bella invited Tessa.
A few weeks after Tessa's visit, Max and Bella had another party, and they invited Keziah.

Neither was a success but Max didn't give up to introduce woman to William.
A month later, Max invited Rosie. But it didn't succeeded.
And after the party, William left the place and thought alone.

Room Service

I and William went to cinema. After the cinema, I went to Japanese restaurant.
When we ate food, we could hear loud conversation from a table just around the corner from theirs.
A man said "I'll take Anna Scott."
A second man disagreed. "I don't like her last film. I fell asleep ten minutes after it started. She is not my type. I prefer the other one.
My smile's disappeared.

"Right, that's enough," William said, standing up. He walked over to the men's table.
"I was listening to your conversation. You shouldn't talk about her like that..."
"Oh, go way. Who are you- her father?" The men laughed loudly.
I came up behind William and pulled him away. They didn't notice me.
"It's OK. I love the fact you tried," I said and walked back the men's table.
"Hi! I'm sorry about my friend."
"I'm sure it was all just friendly talk. It didn't mean anything, And I 'm sure you can't help being stupid. Enjoy your meal."
I said.
The two men sat in silence, their mouths hanging open.
Outside the restaurant, I regretted "Why did I do that."

And then we went to the Hotel Ritz.
What a thing!!
My boyfriend, he was Jeff, was coming here!! And he stayed in the next room!
I had to say to William about Jeff.
William was surprised it.
Jeff noticed the William. So, William pretended room service, and he let the situation go pass.

The Birthday Party

I arrived at the house.
William introduced to me about party member.
William said "Max was cooking but his dishes is too bad. His wife is Bella."
They were very surprised to me.
And then William's sister came. She is Honey.
Honey Said "Wow!I love you. I think we will make a good friend."
Only Bernie didn't notice me at first. He asked to me "What do you do?" And he continued "Oh, actress. Excellent! Actresses earn very little. How is the pay in films?"
I answered honestly, "Fifteen million dollars."

Everyone welcomed me.
In the party, a person who is the most saddest could get a cake.
Everyone told each story. Of course, I joined it.
But William saw through that my story was a fiction. So, I couldn't get the cake.

After the party, I and William went back by walking. On the us way, there is a park.
We explored the park a moment.

Tea at the Ritz?

William arrived at the Ritz Hotel carrying some roses for Anna.
He knew the room number and knocked. A bright-faced American girl opened the door. She is Karen. William was surprised to see a number of reporters and photographers, all clearly waiting to talk to Anna.
William was asked by Karen, "Which magazines a re you from?"
William didn't not know what to say. He looked around for ideas and, on a small table, saw a copy of "Horse and Hound" magazine. So, he pretend the reporters of the magazine.
He could go to the Anna's room somehow.
He could talk with Anna and give some roses.
William asked, "Are you busy tonight?"
"Yes," Anna said.
Time up!!
He went out her room. Then Karen meddled. She said that William could interview other actors.
He didn't know about the movie and he wasn't interested in them, so he confused but he did.
After the interview, William was called by Karen. And she guided him for room with Anna!
And Anna said, "I've changed tonight plan, I have to spend the evening with Horse and Hound's star reporter."
William's heart jumped.
"Oh, well, great Excellent." Then he had a sudden thought. "Oh, no! It's my sister's birthday...we're having dinner!"
He said he won't go there, but Anna said  she wanted to go to her birthday party!

Call Me!

Anna was gone, so William couldn't stop thinking about her.

A few days later, Spike who is room mate with William was wearing William's scuba diving suit. He was never Britain's best-dressed man, but today his clothes were even stranger than usual.
He said "No clean clothes."
It was a lovely day and they went outside into sunshine, but Spike still wearing scuba suit and goggles.
William said "Any massage for me?"
"Yes, I wrote down two." said Spike.
But, William got only one message. He asked Spike"The only you didn't write down...Who were they from? "
Oh, no! He said he couldn't remember!!
After while, he said "Ah...there was  one from an American girl a few days ago. Anna, I think she said."
William was surprised, "What did say?"
"The massage is strange. "Call me at the Ritz."And then She gave a different name." 
"What was the name?"
"No, idea." Spike said.
Oh, my god. William ran inside and he called the Hotel.
"I got a massage from Anna Scott. She's staying with you. She asked me to call her."
"I'm sorry, sir. We have nobody here of that name."
William kept going, "I know that she's using another name. But the stupid person got massage from her, so he forgot the name..."
Suddenly, Spike shouted 'Try "Flintstone".'
William spoke slowly into the phone.
Amazingly, the phone was forwarded to Anna!!!
"Oh, hi. It's WIlliam Thacker. You called me.... "
"Well, yes. Three days ago." she said.
William said the reason why he called lately and then he asked whether she can come for tea, or not.
Anna said, "I'm little busy. But I'll try. Four o'clock."
William said, "Wounderful."

First Kiss-Last kiss?

 After Anna went out from the book shop, William had felt Anna had been to his shop and talked with her  was a dream. He would have a orange juice, he went to the cafe.
  Five minutes later, William left the cafe and hurried back to the bookshop with the orange juice. But as he turned the corner, he walked straight into a woman, The orange juice ran down her shirt. The woman was me, Anna!! I needed change my clothes. Because William's house was near, I decided to change my clothes in his house.
In his house, there was dirty... William started to clean up. meanwhile I changed my clothes. William got me to give something, for example, tea or fruits, and so on. But I had to go right now, so I went out. After few minutes, I noticed I forgot my books!! I returned his house. I and William stood near the door again. Then I moved forward and kissed him!!

  At the worst possible time, his lodger, Spike, came back home.
 I said him that he would not tell anyone about this, wouldn't you. William promised.
 And then I went out his home. In the night, William watched the movie which I appeared and he felt unbelievable that he kissed me!!

Anna Scott

My name is Anna Scott. I'm actress in America, and my name is well-known all over the world.
  I met a man when I traveled to England. His name was William. He was a clerk in his bookstore which was in Notting hill.
In the shop, William talked me " May I  help you?". I just looked around in the bookstore, so I said "No, thank you." but his eyes followed her and said that book is not good, and he picked up one of the smaller books from his desk. He recommended them for me.
   Suddenly, William noticed a man wanted to steal books from his desk. William walked to him and explained there was a camera and  I had to call the police if you stole  books. A man gave up.  I watched all.
The thief stopped next to me, and asked her to sign. I sighed and wrote "I hope  the police catch you next time."!
 After that  I bought a book and paid gave William the large. Then William thought he couldn't get the money, he dropped the cheaper guidebook into the same bag. 
I looked carefully at this amusing young man, and went out the shop.
   This is the first meeting with him.
